Linda Jones 23rd October 2008

I only met John and Sandy once, through Sandy’s sister Gail – my friend and graduate school advisor. As others have mentioned, I felt instantly welcome in their homey kitchen. I also felt that I wanted to “be more like them” because I thought they were just plain cool. Their political and literary world was different than the one I lived in and my exposure to them was stimulating and exciting. I did not know them well, but I do know Gail, who is an intelligent, supportive and loving person. I am sorry for all of the pain your family is experiencing and hope the legacy and spirit of John, Sandy and Chase lives on in your family, the Denver community and the broader community at large.
